Domenic is the founder of a Vermont-based national brand for timber frame kits, sheds, barns and tiny houses. He founded the company in 1995, starting with dog houses, and expanded his skill set to post and beam cottages and sheds. Over time he grew the company to more than eighty employees, with a catalog of over one hundred building designs.
His knowledge of the post and beam building industry is an accumulation of life experience and a business degree from Green Mountain College, where he graduated in 1991. In 2019, the company was recognized as the second fastest-growing company in Vermont by the Vermont Business Growth Awards and made the Inc. 5000 list of America's most successful private companies. After 26 years, Domenic successfully transitioned the business, selling the company in June 2021.
Domenic can be found snowmobiling or four-wheeling out in the wilderness, following Phish, or improving his rustic homestead in Northern Maine. You may also see him swiftly depart the property at any hour: he is a first responder and firefighter, and has been a volunteer member of the Jamaica Volunteer Fire and Rescue department since 2012.
Sarah has been a teacher for over 20 years. She currently works with and gently guides homeschooling families. She authors original lesson plans and units focused on nature studies, sustainability and hands-on activities at HomeschoolingAndHomesteading.com.
She lives in an early 1800s Vermont farmhouse with Domenic, an affectionate rescue cat, and a talkative Maine Coon you may occasionally see out in the aviary. She delights in tending the small homestead, the vegetable garden and her many flower gardens.
